چکیده

Abstract Study question To investigate which semen parameter in AZFc microdeletion patients affect the intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) clinical outcomes. Summary answer AZF-microdeletion caused oligospermia affected ICSI outcome when concentration is less than 1x106/ml. What known already reduce impact of female factors on outcomes, this study employed a propensity score matching analysis to retrospectively analyze laboratory and pregnancy results with deletion who underwent ICSI. design, size, duration A retrospective cohort 99 198 without microdeletion. Participants/materials, setting, methods Patients/Animals: or undergoing Intervention: for couples attempting conception. Main Outcome Measures: Outcomes included normal fertilization rate, high-quality embryo rate Day 3, abortion live birth rate. role chance Patients had lower (69.55%) Day-3 (50.73%) control group (77.17% 58.44% respectively, p = 0.000). There was no significant difference between two groups (67.21% vs. 68.16%, > 0.05), miscarriage (13.41% 12.54%, (58.20% 59.18%, 0.05). Subgroup showed that were comparable AZFc-microdeletion 106/ml. Interestingly, below 1x106/ml, (65.60% 73.79%, 0.001) (47.74% 58.48%, significantly those group. Furthermore, lower, while higher group; however, statistical not significant. Limitations, reasons caution limited, cases obtaining testicular by microsurgery included, so may be biased, prospective studies larger sample size need designed further confirmation. Wider implications findings We recommend screening AZF Chinese male infertile population 5X106/ml.The physician should advise patient undergo genetic counseling before assistance, choose whether PGT assisted according patient's wishes. A Propensity Score Matching Analysis

The purpose of this paper is to determine how much is the “bonus” or “prize” to the sales per worker of Internet-using firms compared to not Internet-using firms. The author employs matching techniques based on an Argentinean database. The author first presents a binary logit model, in which the dependent variable is a dichotomous variable equal to 1 if the firm adopted Internet and 0 otherwise...

Propensity score matching in randomized clinical trials.

Cluster randomization trials with relatively few clusters have been widely used in recent years for evaluation of health-care strategies. On average, randomized treatment assignment achieves balance in both known and unknown confounding factors between treatment groups, however, in practice investigators can only introduce a small amount of stratification and cannot balance on all the important...

A population-based propensity score matching analysis

Background: Previous studies suggested an impaired endothelial function in patients with diabetes. However, the validity of this finding may be limited by the lack of adequate adjustment for further cardiovascular confounders. We assessed endothelial function as measured by flow-mediated dilation (FMD) of the brachial artery in patients with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes in comparison with n...

Five-year clinical outcomes in patients with significant coronary artery spasm: A propensity score-matched analysis.

BACKGROUND Coronary artery spasm (CAS) is known to be a risk factor of acute coronary syndrome and angina pectoris. However, there is no currently available data with larger study population regarding long-term clinical outcomes of CAS in real world clinical practice. OBJECTIVES We evaluated the prevalence of CAS and the impact of CAS on 5-year clinical outcomes in a series of Asian CAS patie...

A weighting analogue to pair matching in propensity score analysis.

Propensity score (PS) matching is widely used for studying treatment effects in observational studies. This article proposes the method of matching weights (MWs) as an analog to one-to-one pair matching without replacement on the PS with a caliper. Compared with pair matching, the proposed method offers more efficient estimation, more accurate variance calculation, better balance, and simpler a...
